Early Career and Training
Natasha completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology at University College Cork and then went on to complete a Masters in Psychological Research Methods at the University of Exeter. Natasha then completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southampton in 2012. During this time, she developed a special interest in sexual health and psychosexual therapy and completed a specialist placement in this area during her doctoral training.
Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2012, Natasha has completed a diploma in psychosexual and relationship therapy and is accredited as a psychosexual therapist. She also completed a two-year meditation teacher training online with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. In 2023, Natasha completed specialist trauma training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is currently being supervised by an EMDR Consultant to work towards full accreditation in this model.
Clinical Experience
Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2012, Natasha has worked in a number of private and public services in the UK and Ireland. While in the UK, Natasha worked in Sexual Health and Psychosexual Therapy Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Pain Management and General Health Psychology. Natasha also worked as a Senior Counsellor at Oxford University Counselling Service for several years. Alongside this work, she worked in Oxford ADHD and Autism Centre, a private service offering multidisciplinary ADHD assessments to young people alongside psychological assessment and interventions to neurodivergent young people and adults. Natasha thoroughly enjoyed this work and developed a special interest in working in this area.
Natasha returned to Ireland in 2021 and has worked in the HSE since, first working in CAMHS before moving to a permanent role in an Adult ADHD service. In this role, Natasha offers specialist ADHD assessments and psychological interventions to adults. Natasha works part-time as a Senior Psychologist in the HSE in an Adult ADHD Service in addition to offering these services here at EBTC.
Specialist Expertise
Natasha is interested in Adult ADHD, neurodivergence in women and psycho-social interventions informed by mindfulness and compassion-based approaches. Natasha is trained as both a Clinical Psychologist and a Psychosexual Therapist and is particularly interested in psychosexual presentations in the neurodivergent population.
Accreditation and Memberships
Natasha is a member of HCPC and BPS, UK and is a member of COSRT.
Natasha’s doctoral qualification has been validated by the Department of Health to work in Ireland as a Clinical Psychologist.
