BA Business Studies
Originally from Leeds, UK, Maria has called Galway home since 1997. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from Liverpool John Moores University.
Maria brings a wealth of experience in customer service, having worked across both the retail and telecommunications sectors. After taking time away from her career to raise her family, she rejoined the workforce in 2021 as a part-time Practice Secretary at the Evidence-Based Therapy Centre. Her strong organisational skills and warm, approachable manner quickly made her an invaluable part of the team.
As her responsibilities expanded, Maria transitioned into the role of Practice Manager in late 2022, supporting the growing complexity of the EBTC operations with dedication and professionalism.

Rachel Webb
Practice Receptionist
Rachel is Practice Receptionist at EBTC. She has a Masters degree in Community Development from the University of Galway and extensive experience in this field. For the past several years Rachel has honed her skills in administration where she has applied her strong organisation skills and ability to thrive in a busy environment. At EBTC, Rachel co-ordinates the busy front of house and efficiently manages a huge volume of calls, bookings and enquiries with a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service

Dervla Cannon
Practice Receptionist
Born and raised in Galway, Dervla recently graduated from the University of Galway with a Bachelors in Law and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Law. Having worked in retail for several years, Dervla is passionate about delivering high quality customer service in fast-paced environments. As a new addition to the team at EBTC, she is enjoying the opportunity to support the continued growth of the centre. Her approachable and friendly demeanour and fantastic ability to remain calm and collected mean that she is ideally suited to the busy front desk at EBTC.
