Mindfulness-Based-Cognitive-Therapy
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, often through awareness of breath, body, and senses. It helps shift us from constant "doing mode" to a more grounded "being mode," enhancing life’s richness and reducing stress. Practising mindfulness can lessen unhelpful rumination - a key factor in anxiety and depression - by helping us observe thoughts without being consumed by them. Senior Cognitive Behavioural therapist, Brendan Clarke has established a fantastic reputation for his ability to help people learn these skills in our 8-week Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy course.
If you would like to learn more about what Mindfulness is then check out this article in our information hub.
Our next Mindfulness course will start in September/October 2026 (date to be confirmed) :-
Monday from 7pm to 9pm for 8-weeks.
We will hold a free one-hour Taster Session on a Monday prior to the start date of the full course if you would like to come along to see what the course is all about and to meet Brendan.

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for ADHD Course
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) involves differences in the brain’s executive functions—skills like planning, focus, and impulse control. People with ADHD may find it challenging to organise, stay motivated, manage time, or regulate emotions. A useful analogy is a powerful Ferrari with sensitive brakes and steering, full of potential but hard to control. This can lead to frustration, low mood, or anxiety. Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy offers practical tools to help improve attention, emotional regulation, and decision-making, essentially fine-tuning the “brakes and steering.” Research shows that mindfulness can enhance focus, reduce stress, and support emotional balance.
No diagnosis is required to participate. Anyone who relates to ADHD traits can benefit from this empowering practice. The programme is run by experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Brendan Clarke who has developed a strong reputation for leading Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy groups. You can read more about the programme here.
