Background
Audrey Bourke is an experienced Psychotherapist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. She began her clinical career as a mental health counsellor in a residential addiction centre, providing individual and group therapy to clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties alongside problems of addiction. In this role, Audrey developed strong diagnostic and case formulation skills, while providing evidence-based interventions to meet the psychological needs of the individuals she worked with.
Over the years, Audrey has expanded her clinical skills as a psychotherapist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist by working in private practice, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in hospitals, and providing crisis intervention services. These experiences have enhanced her ability to respond effectively to complex presentations, including co-morbid mental health and substance use concerns.

Audrey has a deep commitment to fostering emotional well-being. She has spent several years guiding individuals through a variety of life transitions and challenges. Audrey has extensive experience working with people with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and issues of self-esteem. Her therapeutic focus is centered on creating a compassionate space where clients can safely explore their experiences and move towards meaningful change that optimise wellbeing.
Qualifications and Experience
Audrey holds a Master’s in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and is an accredited member of APCP and BACP, professional associations in Ireland and the United Kingdom. In addition to her formal education, Audrey has completed specialised training in couples counselling, meaning she is able to hold the individual’s wider system in mind as part of the work. Audrey continually keeps up-to-date with the most recent evidence-based interventions by attending continuous personal development courses and reading current research literature.

Audrey approaches therapy as a collaborative journey. She integrates evidence-based modalities that are specifically tailored to each client’s goals and preferences. Drawing upon Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Integrative therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Audrey encourages self-reflection and psychological skill-building.

Audrey offers online appointments from Monday to Friday. Evening appointments are available on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
