There is a high demand for our Autism & ADHD services at EBTC and people are waiting significant periods to start the assessment process. Our goal is to ensure all assessment appointments are used and that therapists are not left with empty appointments that could have been offered out to other people on the list.  The following policies are designed with this in mind. 

Neurodiversity assessment cancellation policy

Please take note of the different notice period for each appointment type as these vary depending on the length of the appointment.

Initial consultation

If you cancel your appointment or wish to reschedule your initial consultation appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, your full fee will be retained as we are unable to fill the slots at short notice. As we are not open on weekends and bank holidays, these are not considered within the 48 hour notice period and the full fee will apply. You would need to pay the fee again if you wish to rebook this appointment. 

Assessment (Session 1 & 2)

If you cancel your appointment or wish to reschedule part 1 and 2 with less than 72 hours’ notice, your full fee will be retained as we are unable to fill the slots at short notice. As we are not open on weekends and bank holidays, these are not considered within the 72 hour notice period and the full fee will apply. You would need to pay the full fee again if you wish to rebook this appointment. 

Reflection & report-writing 

On booking the reflection session, you will be required to pay the balance of your assessment. Once this final fee is paid, it is non-refundable as your therapist will begin working on your report immediately and this will be sent to you regardless of whether or not you attend your reflection session.

​If you cancel your reflection appointment or wish to reschedule this appointment with more than 24 hours’ notice, we can do so. If you cancel with less that the required 24 hours' notice we cannot offer you an alternative appointment, without an additional charge. As we are not open on weekends and bank holidays, these are not considered within the 24 hour notice period. In this instance, you would of course still receive your full report. You can pay the regular therapy fee of €150 to rebook the reflection appointment if you wish.​
